The Housing Opportunities Through the

Modernization ACT (HOTMA) became effective

January 1, 2024 with a grace period for

implementation until January 1, 2025. Many

Tax Credit programs have adopted HOTMA in

2024 as well as some HOME and Trust Fund.

Rural Development will be adopting the

allowance in late 2024. Most other programs

will wait until 1/1/25 to comply. This one day

class will discuss all the regulations that will

continue, expire, and change under HOTMA.
